Serbian president Boris Tadić and prime ministar of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik baicly agreed on making movie about Ustaši camp Jasenovac. Serbia and Republic of Srpska will finance this project, and the “Schindler’s List” author Steven Spielberg was first to be offered to write a screenplay and to direct the movie. |

Lecture was given by Dejan Motl, and two movies of Simo Brdar, The Sun and the Wire and God was Silent were shown. |

A BOOK ON ROMA GENOCIDE PUBLISHED

“Politika” recently published a book on Roma genocide in the Second World War. „History of Roma Holocaust“ is written by Rajko Đurić and Antun Miletić, have 440 pages and in its second part publishes a list of 23,000 Roma killed in Jasenovac concentration and death camp.

WINTER SEMINAR FOR EDUCATORS AT YAD VASHEM ENDED

From January 6 to 24 a Winter Seminar for Educators Abroad took place at the International School for Holocaust Studies at Yad Vashem, including educators from Croatia and FRY Macedonia. Jasenovac Committee was represented by Ms. Svetlana Spajić, but new dimension was participation of the Union of Jewish Communities of Serbia, represented at the Seminar by Mr. Nenad Antonijević, a custodian from Belgrade Museum of Genocide Victims.
