On Monday, March 12, His Holiness Patriarch received Mr. Walter Manoschek at the Patriarchate in Belgrade. With His Holiness, Bishops Irinej of Bačka and Hrizostom of Bihać and Petrovac were present at the event, while Mr. Manoschek was accompanied by Mr. Dejan Stanković. With Christopher Browning and Milan Koljanin, Walter Manoschek is considered as the best specialist for the Holocaust in Serbia in the Second World War and he published a number of works on that matter, including a monograph ‘Serbien ist Judenfrei’. Lately, Prof. Manoschek is dealing with the events in former Yugoslavia in the last decade of XX century, which made mostly subject of the meeting with His Holiness.
