Film of Simo Brdar „Blood and Water“ was awarded with Golden Amphora at the International Festival of Documentary Films at Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

For the truth about the suffering of Jasenovac inmate, survivor Cadik Danon, ie. universal message against war and violence, the film was awarded as well with a statue „Goodness and Nobility“ by the organisator, humanitarian organisation "Help the Needy Foundation". A retrospective of Simo Brdar’s movies took part during the Festival as well.
