In Montenegro Adriatic coastal city of Herceg Novi, at August 27, Serbian cultural-educational society "Prosvjeta" and monks of Monastery Savina revаiled the stone monument to Jasenovac victims, which was sanctified by presbyter Gojko Mračević.
The idea to build such a a monument in Montenegro was born as a result of cooperation between Simo Brdar, curator of Donja Gradina Memorial area, and Olivera Doklestić, president of "Prosvjeta" of Montenegro. After Теl Aviv, Moscow and Brooklyn, Herceg Novi is now the fourth city having a monument to Jasenovac victims - reads an official press release of "Prosvjeta". In this event, Simo Brdar was awarded with a special diploma "for his contribution to make the Jasenovac truth known".
